Photo Sleeve Album – Scrapbook Style

January 29th, 2011

Remember the photo sleeve pages that we used to just slip our photos into? They displayed photos so they were easy to look at, but they weren’t very decorative. It was hard to put any feeling or personality into the pages, and there was little room to write information.

Scrapbooks have become very popular and offer a wide variety of ways to display photos, along with memorabilia and journaling. A huge selection of papers and embellishments allow us to express ourselves.

What if you’re not sure you have the time and creativity to make a scrapbook, but you want something with more personality than a plain photo sleeve album? Have I got some ideas for doing scrapbooking for you.

Let’s take a look at some of the ways we can compromise between the stark feel of a photo sleeve album and the elaborate designs of a scrapbook. Who says that all the pockets of a photo sleep page have to be filled with pictures? There are no rules against matting a photo or adding some stickers.

If this has piqued your interest, keep reading. We’ll look at some scrapbook page layout ideas to add interest and personality to your album. You’ll be on your way to completed albums before you know it.

Titles – If you would like to use a page title, just create one on a 4 X 6 card and slip it into one of the pockets. Use a bold tip pen or stickers. Journaling – Use one of the pockets to include journaling. Just write your journaling on a 4 X 6 card or paper and slip it in. Use pre-made journaling boxes or create your own. For an enhanced look, add a sticker or other embellishment. Mat Photos – Mat some of the photos. You may need to crop the photo down slightly to allow the mat to show around it. You can mat the photo with an even border all the way around. Another fun option is to crop the photo smaller and mat the photo with extra space to one side. This area can be used for journaling or some embellishments. Smaller size photos can be matted to fit into the pockets. Panoramic photos – To fit panoramic photos in, cut the photo into two sections. Place them in to adjacent pockets Memorabilia – Memorabilia such as postcards, recipes, tickets and greeting cards can be placed in pockets as well. If the item is too large, crop it down or scan the item and print a copy in the 4 X 6 size to fit.

And you thought photo sleeve albums had to be boring. Guess again! You are only limited by your imagination. This is a fun alternative for those that want to create simple albums quickly, but don’t want to give up all the fun of scrapbooking. Go ahead give these ideas for doing scrapbooking a try.

Personalising Mother’s Day Gifts – Photo Books, Albums, and Calendars

January 28th, 2011

Photo Books

A photo book is an effective alternative to the photo album. Pick the photos you wish to use and have them printed directly on to each of the sides of the photo book pages. The standard print layout is a single photo per side, but you can opt for more complex designs. Pictures can be overlayed on top of other pictures, or you can include text and even use montages of your favourite pictures. The photo book is a very good option if you don’t want to mount your favourite photos yourself.

Photo Albums

The photo album is perhaps one of the first photo gifts that were available. Pictures are mounted on to the pages of the book and you can use standard size prints in either landscape or portrait. The photo album is ideal if you or your Mum enjoys the tactile pleasure that is derived from adding your own photos. The modern evolution of the photo album is a more personalised affair because it allows for the customisation of the cover and presentation tin.

Book And Album Covers

Photo books and photo albums are ideal for showing off family photos, holiday snaps, and pictures from any event. Both also include the opportunity to personalise their cover; both front and back. Pick a picture or create a unique design consisting of photos, pictures, and text, and have this printed on the hard back cover of the photo book or photo album. You can even add a personalised Mother’s Day greeting to make it yet more appealing.

Presentation Tins

As well as a personalised cover, photo books and albums also include their own presentation tin. The presentation tin is ideal for keeping the photos in the best possible condition and to ensure that the book or album lasts a lifetime. What’s more, it can also be customised according to your design. Another great way to add a personal Mother’s Day message.

Photo Diaries, Notebooks, And Journals

The photo book is perfect for sharing and displaying pictures but is just one type of book that can be customised and given as a special Mother’s Day treat. Diaries, address books, notebooks, and journals are among the other great looking personalised book options. Design the cover by adding a photo to these high quality items to create useful and good looking Mother’s Day gift ideas.

Photo Calendars

The photo calendar is a great gift choice if you want to use a number of favourite pictures. Design the cover using a favourite picture and a title to accompany it. Pick pictures for each of the months of the year and captions to be printed underneath. Finally, decide on the month in which you want the calendar to start and you’ve created a quality Mother’s Day gift that will be enjoyed for years.

January 28th, 2011

Digital cameras allow us to take a picture and view it within seconds. They also allow us to take as many pictures as we want, without the expense of developing film. This is why many of us now prefer digital photography over traditional, print photos. But who has time to sort through, organize, and edit the thousands of digital photos that are on your computer? Your local photo organizer does!

Digital organization services will take all of your digital photos and sort, rename, and organize them. You’ll no longer have to search through photos to find the one you’re looking for. Organizers will create a digital photo organization system for you, with your guidance, so that you get exactly what you want.

Online Photo Albums
Local photo organizers transform a mass of unorganized photos with default filenames like “IMG_845761652828″ and turn them into neatly organized files and folders that are easily identifiable. They will even take it a step further, and create customized online photo albums that you can share with family and friends in any part of the world!

transfer digital photos from my camera to my computer? print or email digital photos? burn a photo CD? digitally enhance photos?
Digital Photo Frames
Digital photo frames are small LCD screens that hold dozens of digital pictures. Like a computer screensaver, they let you view fond memories in a slideshow. They’re great to have around your home or to give as gifts. If you have a digital photo frame, or are interested in buying one, photo organizers can help you set up and organize your frame.
?
Scanning Services
Our world seems to be “going digital” everywhere we turn. But that doesn’t mean we toss out all of our traditional methods.
?
If you have older, print pictures that you’d like to digitize and keep on your computer, photo organization services can help. State-of-the-art photo scanners can transform print photos hidden in desk drawers into digital photos that you can view and share at any time.
